Teaching our students to give back and help those less fortunate is just as important as teaching them to strive for educational excellence. Our goal is to support our children to become caring, and compassionate citizens.

We aim to raise students’ awareness of the importance of advocating for justice and kindness. Through our various community projects and drives throughout the year, the students are given the opportunity to explore ways in which they can play an active role in bringing about a positive change in their school and their broader community.

Our Giving Back Projects and Charities

CANSA Spray-a-thon
During our annual Spray-a-thon in aid of CANSA, our school is awash with colour as the matric students spray the hair of all the children from our Early Learning School, Prep School and College.

Barefoot Day
On our annual Barefoot Day, children get to feel what it’s like to spend a day without shoes. Each child brings a pair of shoes which is donated to Sole-to-Sole, an organisation that distributes shoes to children in need.

Slipper Day
We support the Reach for a Dream Foundation in their annual Slipper Day in aid of children with life-threatening illnesses.

Wetnose and Pug Rescue
We love to support organisations that support all beings, including those with fur. Our students enjoy visiting to play with and walk the animals and even clean their cages.

SANBS Blood Drive
Our College regularly holds blood drives at the school where our senior students donate blood.

Mandela Day
Our Mandela Day includes junior and senior students spending their 67 minutes preparing hundreds of sandwiches and serving coffee and fruit to construction workers as they arrive for work early in the morning.

Women’s Month
Throughout the month of August, we collect sanitary items for women and girls in need.

Cupcakes of Hope
Our Cupcakes of Hope initiative sees our Grade 11 students icing and decorating hundreds of cupcakes for sale in the community in aid of children with cancer.

Stationery Drive
Our final drive for the year entails collecting stationery so that children at  under-resourced schools can start the new academic year with the stationery they need.
