Nurturing Confidence and Inspiring Achievement

We believe that every child deserves an education that is both innovative and fun. Our students enjoy an educational experience that provides strong foundations for a journey of self-discovery, so they develop the confidence and self assurance to be the very best version of themselves.

Our motto, 'I am because we are' is a core part of what we believe in as a school. Everything we do revolves around our students as individuals, who play an important part in our collective whole. Students are free to discover who they are, who they want to be, and what they need to do to achieve that.

We provide a learning environment in which students are encouraged to try new things and explore their interests in more depth. At our school, students learn how to win - and how to fail - developing the resilience and interpersonal skills necessary to achieve their full potential and a lifetime of success.

Meet Our Executive Head

Grant Ferreir

Grant Ferreira is the Head of Reddford House The Hills. He has many years’ experience in the business and educational fields, having obtained his PC Engineering Degree, as well as his MCSD Degree at Varsity College. Soon after completing these degrees, he felt a calling to the teaching profession. Mr Ferreira obtained his B.Ed Degree in Human Movement Science and Sport Management, and taught for eight years at a private school in Pretoria, where he was an Executive Committee Member, Head of House, and Head of Athletics.

As a result of his strong leadership and relationship-building skills, Mr Ferreira was soon offered a position at Anglo Mines where he presented Safety and Leadership courses. However, his desire to teach remained strong, and after three years at Anglo, he returned to the teaching profession where he has remained ever since - now successfully steering Reddford House The Hills towards an outstanding future.

Outside of teaching, Mr Ferreira is passionate about soccer, having played semi-professionally for Arcadia Shephards and he is co-owner of the Glenwegians Soccer Club. He also plays in the Premier League Cricket for Tshwane Metro. Mr Ferreira treats his staff, students, and their families with dignity, courtesy and respect, while also promoting an open and critical exchange of ideas. He is a highly respected member of our community.

At the heart of our Reddford House Community are our values of kindness, respect, integrity, responsibility, courage and ambition. We strive to model these values every day and foster confidence, acceptance and individuality throughout our school community.

We encourage our students to work together, offering help to one another and showing enthusiasm for the success of their peers. In our nurturing and supportive environment, we ensure that learners take responsibility for their actions, build resilience by not giving up and understand their role as part of the school community.

Our standards are high and we expect all students to be respectful of others, to try new things, and to learn from mistakes. We believe in setting ambitious targets so that students continually grow, developing a love of lifelong learning that will serve them well throughout their lives.

Students are supported in their academic and personal endeavours by our team of expert teaching staff, who are all hand-picked for their skills and experience, as well as their dedication to supporting the young people in their care.
